LIFE GROUPS

Just what is a LIFE Group?

  • Learning how to live for Jesus and follow His Word
  • Involvement in relationships with believers for fellowship, support and fun!
  • Fulfillment of your purpose by exercising spiritual gifts and talents
  • Experience the love of God through the Body of Christ

A LIFE Group is a gathering of typically 8 to 16 people who meet on a regular basis for fun and fellowship, Bible study & discussion, worship, and ministry. Some types of LIFE Groups are:
General Group: typically meet in a person’s home on a regular basis and study various topics.
Topical Group: study a specific topic such as finances, marriage relationships, raising Godly children, etc. Sometimes these groups meet for only a designated length of time.
Task Group: focus on ministry work or common activity such as preparing meals for CHOSEN, Working at Serve City, Servant Evangelism, Walking Group, Biking Group, etc

Why are LIFE Groups so important?
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the day approaching.   Hebrews 10:24-25 

“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart”. Acts 2:46

These believers met together in houses to build Christian relationships, to grow in faith, to pray together, to support one another through difficulties, and to fulfill their God-given purpose as Christians. Just as these groups were vital for early believers, LIFE Groups are vital for us today!

LIFE Group Mission:
In Matthew chapter 28 Jesus gave us the mission to go and make disciples.  And this is the mission of LIFE Groups to make PASSIONATE disciples of Jesus Christ!

Therefore we believe that LIFE Groups are vital to each of us in the church and our goal is that every member of the New Life Vineyard Church would be involved in a LIFE Group!

 

How do I join a LIFE Group?


Visit the LIFE Group Information Center located at New Life Vineyard Church for brochures of the various groups available, visit the NLV Information Center or ask the Pastors for assistance. Find a group you would like to visit and call the leader to make arrangements to attend. Your presence at our groups would be greatly welcomed!
